Tagged my booty

April 13th, 2008 by Preston

Sarah tagged me with this.

Here’s how you play: Once you’ve been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random facts, habits, or goals about yourself– at the end choose 5 people to be tagged. Don’t forget to leave them a comment saying (You’re It!) and to go read your blog. You cannot tag the person that tagged you. So since you can’t tag me back let me know when you are done so that I can go read YOUR blog answers.

1. I sit down to pee because I can’t predict how accurate I might be at any given time. (unless I’m standing at a urinal)
2. One year I had 13 different jobs, how retarded is that?
3. It took me 31 years and 12 days to become a pilot, while only 56 hours of that were actual training :)
4. I love to fish, yet I only do it about once every 3 years.
5. If I couldn’t go to the movies, I’d probably go insane.
6. It’s rare that I can eat noodles and not suffer nausea. Add to that, mushrooms, spinach, turnips, and cold chicken noodle soup.
7. I met my wife through my work, which I hate with a passion. Interesting how something good can come from something so bad eh?
8. I am a Christian. Let me clear that up, as it’s loosely used these days. I believe Christ died for my sins, rose again, and lives, so that I wouldn’t have die because of my own sins, and I have committed my life to His cause, and continue to fall very short of what He asks of me.
9. I have thought for a long time that I’m misunderstood. I have since realized that I don’t care, because anyone that loves me, knows me, and anyone that hates me, wants other people to hate me too. It gives reinforces their idea of who I am, when they can convince others of it.
10. I have the most precious females in my life that a man could ever hope for. Sarah, Ashton, Ava, and Emma are what has become the most amazing gift God could ever give me.

Now I don’t know anyone, so I tag Meagan, Cassie, Jacklyn, and Kalen, on behalf of my wife, so basically this means that the REALLY have to do this.

Wow @ Sarah’s blog!

April 9th, 2008 by Preston

I got my butt reamed today for speaking my mind on my wifes blog!

I basically am not allowed to speak on Sarah’s blog because if I do, I’m defending her. I really was defensive, but it was Christianity that I was defending…. odd eh?

I saw all sorts of interesting things… for instance

Gays don’t choose it, it just happens to them—-
People listen… go do the research ALL OVER AGAIN, it’s been done a million times, because people would like to think they have no choice in the matter, it frees them from responsibility… being Gay is a choice. There are no genetic makeups that are gay. There is no gay gene. I have known some dudes in my life that were very feminine, for instance, and you might even assume that they are gay, but crazy enough, their hot wife walks around the corner to everyones surprise! He must have defied some serious genetic stuff and claimed he wasn’t gay right?

The stuff in the Bible is outdated—-
What?…What Bible did this person read? You don’t have to be a Christian to know that is the most ignorant thing you can say about the Bible. As a matter of fact, I have seen and heard of Bible scholars that were AGNOSTIC…. didn’t care about religion, but just wanted to read it… and next thing you know they sold out to Christ. That’s a good thing. Point is, humanity and it’s incredibly twisted way of thinking has been around since creation. Nothing about the Bible is outdated. That’s like saying my grandmother had no idea what its like to deal with this or that, because she just is simply too old, and things were different back then. Right.. I can guarantee she knew much more than most people do today about what life can throw at you.

My favorite comment– I think it is fairly obvious that if “God” intended for people to be heterosexual there simply wouldn’t be any homosexuals.—–

OMG. So basically, there is NO way that we could do something gay, unless God intended it to be that way. So God intended us to kill unborn children. God must have intended for us to kill other people. God must have intended for us to rob a bank because we are able to. This person gave the analogy that since there are no unicorns, then it’s because God intended for their not to be. Well she’s right. But we can’t exactly go make unicorns either now can we? BUT we CAN choose to go be gay.

I have never in my life seen so much backwards thinking. A catholic that believes that if you are good, then thats enough. The Bible says nothing of such a thing. Catholics believe this way, and its of deep concern to me personally because my ex decided to marry a catholic and now my daughter is being subjected to this by both of them. The Bible is so clear cut on what salvation is, and requires. And it has NOTHING to do with being a certain amount of good.

I also saw today, tons of people passionately discriminate, and personally bash Sarah, for being a Christian, for speaking on behalf of Christianity, that God sees homosexuality as a sin. Never did she say anything like all you gays can go to hell. But you’d think she did. Somehow, they all felt justified in doing to her, exactly what they said she ought not do.

I realize there are alot of people out there that have friends that are homosexual. These days, you can’t go anywhere without it being forced into society in such a way that most people feel the need to accept it as something they should respect. It’s no different than me telling you that you should respect the idiot that decided to hole himself up on a ranch in Texas and have children as wives and do it all in the name of Jesus. I promise you, that is NOT what Jesus had ever intended. But do we respect him? Why not? He’s just doing what he thinks is okay… what he believes. We all ought to respect that RIGHT? It doesn’t matter if he is having sex with 14 yr old girls and calling them his wives. Polygamy… its all this guy believes… we should respect it, if you think that we should respect Gays too.

As for the woman that says shes a man that is having a baby. It’s hilarious as hell, that people sit there and find themselves so convinced that this is just so neat and good. What the hell?
So this person decided to keep the uterus inside herself, so she could one day do a WOMAN thing, what women were created to be able to do, and that is, have a baby. Yet, she wants to be a man, so she will do whatever she can to change enough about her so she can legally be classified as a man. Well you are still a woman, I don’t care who says you are a man. What man is able to have a baby? lol… lemme guess, this one?

I guess I should be able to go get an elephant trunk, some ears, and even its penis, and have it surgically attached, start eating some peanuts like crazy, stomp around and scream, and next thing you know I’m an elephant…. really I am. I mean come on people I’m an elephant. You can’t tell me I’m not. I’m an elephant.

I hope to God that people will somehow wake up and stop being so blind. I include myself. I know I have many things to learn, but there are some basics that I have down already, and one is that I am a man, I was born that way, made that way, I am that way. I am in love with a woman, because it is that way. I guess I feel lucky that I didn’t get the gay gene. lol.

There are so many people that try the whole “we must respect one anothers wishes because who is to say that one person is right and the other isn’t”

Well, people I didn’t write the rules around here. I didn’t make this stuff up either. AND just because you choose not to believe there is a God that did, doesn’t mean you won’t have to answer to Him when it comes time. He created you, and He can take you and do whatever He wants to with you. It will be a sight one day when people see God for who He is, and they lived their whole life thinking it didn’t apply to them.

Above all of this, everything I have said here, my one true hope is that people will know that God loves them, from the deepest parts of who they are, EVEN the woman that claims to be a man. Is there anything your child could do to make you stop loving them? I hope that someone will read this and consider that God sent Christ to die for them so they don’t have to. There’s nothing worse than being separated from God, as I was before I came to know Christ as my saviour. I can’t imagine my life without Him in it.

Peace…

Wow….

March 6th, 2008 by Preston

I couldn’t get here fast enough to post my thoughts on this. I read this article on Yahoo! news…
See the article here.

During Hillary and Obama’s campaign efforts in Ohio, they made remarks about the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

They are very opposed to it. And for that reason, they are liked by the democratic party. Sounds all fine and dandy, til you get to the part where they do the average democrat thing, and that is lie thru their pretty little Democrat teeth.

Hillary’s campaign- Brodie told reporters that the Clinton campaign had called the Canadian embassy in Washington to tell officials to take her anti-NAFTA rhetoric “with a grain of salt,” said local media.

Obama’s campaign- Around the same time, a news agency reported that a Canadian government memo detailed a meeting between Obama’s chief economic advisor Austan Goolsbee and officials from the Canadian consulate in Chicago. The memo reportedly said Goolsbee noted Obama’s attacks on NAFTA should not be taken out of context, citing fiercely protectionist sentiment in Ohio about the pact and political positioning as a motivation.

So basically, like it isn’t obvious already, these two candidates that sooooooooo many people are excited about having as President, are clearly doing whatever their party wants to hear, and that’s it. This is amazing, I’m actually surprised that this was talked about, but I am sure it won’t get the news coverage it ought to. They will probably find some crap to try and talk about McCain instead.

O… bam! ugh..

February 28th, 2008 by Preston

Someone please explain to me what this means… Obama said this in talking about his stance on the Iraq war basically…

“The American people aren’t looking for tough talk about fighting for 100 years in Iraq, because they know we need to end this war, finish the job in Afghanistan, and take the fight to al Qaeda,” he said.

What I’m trying to figure out, is what exactly is “taking the fight to al Qaeda” if you ARE NOT in Iraq or Afghanistan? How do you leave, and say you are actually taking the fight to the enemy? Am I missing something? Do people not actually listen to idiots like this? Do they just hear what they want to hear and skip over the point where they contradict what they just said? Typical democrat. I know a few people that dress up BS by saying stuff that sounds dramatic and do a good job at convincing the unknowing people out there, but wow…
